The school week at St Edmund's is 32.5 hours long. Our school day runs from 8.45am until 3.15pm.

Our School Day and routines

8.35am The school gates open. Families can enter the school site. School staff are available on the playground if you have any messages to share.

8.40am The school doors open for children to enter. Adults are not permitted to enter the school building. School staff are available on the door for quick messages. If you need to share anything of a more substantial nature, please either request a call back, email or share informaton at the end of the day.

8.45am The school doors will close and the gates will be locked. Any children arriving at the door after this time will have to enter the building by the main office and will be late. Our school day must start at 8.45am in order to ensure our school day complies with Government guidance.

3.10pm The school gates open. Families can enter the site. 

3.15pm The school doors open for children to exit. School staff are available to talk with parents and carers once children have been safely dismissed from the building.

3.25pm The school gates will lock. If you arrive after this time, this will be a late collection and you must go to the school office. We understand that, on occasion, different factors can cause parents and carers to run late. Please try and let us know if you are going to be late. If a pattern of late collection develops, we will speak with you about this as the school day ends at 3.15pm and this is when children should be collected.
