Young Voices 2019

On the 13th February 2019, we took 57 children to Arena Manchester to take part in the Young Voices Concert within a mass choir of 6842 children.

The children were brilliantly behaved as always and had an amazing time singing with some famous faces including: Tony Hadley (Spandau Ballet), Sharlene Hector (Basement Jaxx) and Beau Dermott (Britain's Got Talent).

They also enjoyed dancing with Andy Instone and the Urban Strides troupe.

After we had had our tea, it was time to get into our Young Voices T-shirts and prepare for the concert.

Every child got a Young Voices torch and a Teenage Cancer Trust wristband. It made us happy to think that we were able to help others while we were having such a great time.

The afternoon rehearsals were great fun and prepared us for the evening concert.

The children and staff were very excited to have the opportunity to see the performing artists and the musicians.

Mrs Butler and Mrs Mann were very excited to meet Tony Hadley and get his signature.

The actual performance was an amazing experience. The children loved seeing all the torches lit up at once, and we managed to spot some of our parents and carers in the audience.

Everyone sang and danced their hearts out, and it was lovely to see the children working as a team.

It was obvious how much effort our choir had put into learning the words and parts as they were an example to others around them.
