Holy Week
Thank you to all who came to see the Y3/4 children lead a sensory experience of Stations of the Cross for the school and parish families. So many families came to support their children and the school and share in this special event.
The GIFT Team set a Lenten challenge to collect food for a local food bank. This took place because Lent is a time to help others. During four weeks of Lent, different year groups were asked to bring in food items that could be sent to the food bank to feed people in our community. We are very grateful that so many families supported us during our Lenten challenge
The whole school took part in a Holy Week reflection assembly. The children from the Early Years re-enacted the Jesus' Triumphal entry into Jerusalem. The children from KS1 re-enacted the Last Supper that Jesus had with his Apostles. Years 3 and 4, Sang Lord by Your Cross to remind us that Jesus died and brought us new life to set us free. The children from Year 5, shared their Easter Gardens and explained the symbols of each object. Finally, Year 6 made Polish traditional Sweiconka Easter baskets and explained what each ingredient represented .
