Welcome to our GIFT Team

We are the 'Growing in Faith Together Team'

St Edmund's GIFT Team is led by Mrs Brookes.

We are missionary disciples sent to spread the Word of God throughout the school and the school community.

During the month of October, The GIFT team ran a prayer group during lunch times where children from KS2 were able to pray the Rosary.

Our GIFT team were able to deliver all of the donations from each year group to the Food Bank volunteers. Because of the generosity of so many families at St. Edmund's, people who might otherwise have had to go hungry will be able to access food to feed themselves.

The GIFT Team leading a lunch time prayer group during the Spring Term. . The children lead a number of prayer stations including fizzy forgiveness, praying with pebbles and Graffiti prayer wall.

The GIFT Team visited the cenotaph in Parrfold Park  to pay their respects and say their own prayers, thinking about all those who had lost their lives in WW1.  Jack read out a prayer, whilst the children thought about all those who have been affected by war throughout the world.

The GIFT Team led an non Eucharistic service to lead the children and staff into Lent. We also welcomed members of the parish that attended this service. During the service, we buried the ‘Alleluia’ in a treasure chest and GIFT team explained how this word is forbidden during Lent and will return when we celebrate Easter, when we celebrate our joy and praise to Jesus. At the end of the service the children and staff received the blessed ashes from Fr John.
