Year 5 2016
Welcome to our Year 5 page!
On Tuesday 27th June, the children performed in the Quays theatre at the Lowry as part of their work with the MAPAS Wider Opportunities program. The children were extremely well behaved, and their amazing performance was praised by the Salford mayor.
Our Year 5 children have been given the chance to complete the 'Bikeability' safety training. This teaches the children how to look after their bikes and remain safe when riding on the road.
On Monday 17th October we were visited by the Little Hulton PCSOs and Will from Greater Manchester fire service to talk to us about anti-social behaviour. We learned lots about how to keep ourself and others safe in the community.
In our science we have been looking at the changing states of matter. We investigated the question 'Do gases have weight?' We had great fun and made a terrible mess finding out.
The 21st September is International Day of Peace. We joined with schools, organisations and groups across the world to mark the event with fun activities and prayers.
